From a breathtaking 10-metre crystal staircase chandelier to a bespoke 7m x 5m corner sofa — this is the story of how ChandeliersDecor.com brought one family's vision to life in the heart of Las Vegas.
The Beginning: A Family, a Villa, and a Vision
When the Al-Rashid family first reached out to our interior design team, they had just completed the purchase of a stunning two-storey villa in Las Vegas — a home they envisioned as a sanctuary for not just themselves, but for generations to come.
What started as a couple's dream home had grown into something far more meaningful. After celebrating their first wedding anniversary, the family welcomed the grandparents — grandfather and grandmother — to live with them permanently. With two young children already filling the home with laughter, the brief was clear: design a space that speaks to every generation, from the grandparents' love of elegance and warmth, to the couple's appetite for modern luxury, to the children's need for colour, comfort, and joy.
Six people. One home. Infinite possibilities.
The First Conversation: Listening Before Designing
Our lead designer, Sarah, recalls the very first video call with the family vividly. "They had so many ideas — and rightly so. The grandmother wanted something that felt timeless and grand. The husband was drawn to statement pieces and architectural drama. The wife wanted warmth and softness. And the children? They just wanted it to feel magical."
What followed was a series of back-and-forth consultations — mood boards shared over email, fabric swatches sent by post, 3D renders reviewed on weekend calls — until a singular, cohesive vision emerged: Modern Multigenerational Luxury. A home that commands attention the moment you step through the door, yet wraps you in comfort the moment you sit down.
The Staircase: Where the Magic Begins
The centrepiece of the entire project — and the element that sparked the most discussion — was the staircase.
The villa's double-height stairwell presented a rare opportunity. With nearly 10 metres of vertical space cascading from the upper landing to the ground floor, our team proposed something truly extraordinary: a custom-engineered crystal pendant chandelier installation, running the full 10-metre drop of the staircase.
The husband's initial reaction? "Is that even possible?"
Our staircase lighting engineers assured him it was — and more than that, it would become the defining feature of the home.
We specified our Long Line Glass Ball Chandelier — Lighting Solution, custom-engineered to a 10-metre drop. Each glass ball pendant was individually positioned to create a flowing, cascading effect that follows the curve of the staircase — like a waterfall of light frozen in time. The warm white setting (3000K) was chosen to cast a golden glow across the marble steps, creating a sense of arrival every time the family descends for breakfast or welcomes guests in the evening.
The grandmother, who had initially been hesitant about "too much drama," was the first to say it when she saw the installation: "It looks like something from a palace."
It does. And it is.

The Living Room: A Space for Everyone
The living room was perhaps the most complex brief of the entire project. It needed to function as a formal reception space for guests, a relaxed family lounge for movie nights, a play area that didn't feel like a play area, and a comfortable retreat for the grandparents to sit and read.
Our solution began with scale.
The Corner Sofa: Custom-Produced at 7m x 5m
We custom-produced a Corner Juego Sofa at an extraordinary 7 metres by 5 metres — one of the largest bespoke sofa commissions our production team has fulfilled. Upholstered in a warm ivory bouclé fabric with deep, generous cushioning, it anchors the entire living space and seats the whole family comfortably, with room for guests. The L-shaped configuration was designed to face both the feature wall and the garden view simultaneously, so no one ever has to choose between the two.
The children immediately claimed the corner section as their own. The grandparents settled into the chaise end. Everyone found their place.
The Rug: Italian Luxury Underfoot
Beneath the sofa, we laid our Italian Designer Oval Linear Rug in a warm neutral tone — a large-format area rug with a sophisticated linear pattern that grounds the seating area without competing with the statement pieces around it. The rug's Italian-inspired design adds a layer of quiet luxury that the wife had specifically requested: "Something that feels expensive without shouting about it."

The Coffee Table: Organic Sculpture
At the heart of the seating arrangement sits our Glass Resin Rocky Glacier Designer Coffee Table — a sculptural piece with a nature-inspired rocky resin base and a clear glass top. It became an instant conversation starter. The husband described it as "art you can put your coffee on," which is precisely the spirit in which it was designed.

The Wall Art: A Bohemian Statement
On the feature wall behind the sofa, we installed our Bohemian Figure LED Wall Art at a commanding 2 metres in height. The silhouette figure, framed in gold, glows with a warm ambient light that doubles as both art and illumination — eliminating the need for a separate floor lamp in that corner of the room.
The wife had seen a similar piece on a design blog and had been searching for something comparable for months. When we presented this option, her response was immediate: "That's exactly it. That's the one."
The LED tri-colour function means the family can shift the mood of the room — warm white for evenings, cool white for daytime reading — all from a remote control.

The Entryway: First Impressions, Lasting Impact
Before a guest even reaches the living room, they pass through the entryway — and we treated it with the same level of intention as every other space in the home.
Here, we placed our Glacier Console Table from our Console Table collection — a sleek, sculptural piece that serves as both a functional surface and a design statement. Styled with a curated arrangement of decorative objects and fresh botanicals, it sets the tone for the entire home the moment the front door opens.
The grandmother had one specific request for the entryway: "Somewhere to put things down when you come in, but something beautiful." The Glacier Console Table delivered exactly that.

The Dining Room: Where Generations Gather
Perhaps no room in a multigenerational home carries more emotional weight than the dining room. It is where birthdays are celebrated, where homework is done at the weekend, where the grandparents share stories over a long Sunday lunch.
We designed this room to honour all of that.
The centrepiece is our Italian Hourglass Solid Wood Brass Dining Table Set — a 300 x 120cm statement table with a copper-finish brass base and a solid wood tabletop, 2.8cm thick, accompanied by six chairs. The table's modern minimalist silhouette with its Scandinavian-influenced lines creates a dining space that feels both grand and approachable — formal enough for dinner parties, relaxed enough for a family of six on a Tuesday evening.
The grandfather, a man of few words, ran his hand along the tabletop on installation day and simply said: "Good wood. Good table." From him, that was the highest praise.

The Reveal: A Moment We Will Never Forget
On the day of the final reveal, the family arrived to find their home transformed. The children ran straight to the sofa. The grandmother stood at the bottom of the staircase and looked up at the cascading crystal chandelier for a long, quiet moment. The husband put his arm around his wife. The grandfather sat down at the dining table and smiled.
No one said anything for almost a minute.
Then the wife turned to our lead designer and said: "You listened. You actually listened to all of us."
That is, and will always be, the greatest compliment we can receive.
